Position Title Assistant Director of Athletics forExternal Relations Posting Number AS736P Subdivision Athletic Director's Office Division Athletics Department Athletics Location Erie, Pa Position Summary
Will coordinate revenue generation and assist in the day-to-day operation of the Athletics Department, including, but not limited to, alumni engagement, special events, team fundraising initiatives, community service, ticketing, promotions, advertising, and camps & clinics. Serves as the primary liaison with University Advancement and Knight Nation. This individual must possess high ethical standards, integrity, and a willingness to exhibit strict adherence to NCAA, Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations. Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversight related to the sale, distribution, and overall annual plan development for season tickets for basketball, football, and other athletic events.
2. Develop marketing strategies and implement processes directly related to the oversight of camps, clinics, and external rentals.
3. Assists with securing sponsorship and advertising agreements.
4. Works collaboratively with University Advancement and the Director of Athletics related to constituent engagement - engagement opportunities throughout the year, ensuring each sport is engaged.
5. Work collaboratively with University Advancement to develop and maintain Knight Nation (booster club). Implement annual fundraising drives, membership renewals, and solicitations.
6. Work collaboratively with the Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations to ensure marketing and advertising endeavors are implemented.
7. Organize and oversee the annual athletics department/Knight Nation golf outing.
8. Coordinate and track all departmental fundraising activities and serve as a liaison to University Advancement.
9. Responsible for game-day presentations and special events. (Promotions, give-a-ways, special designations, etc.)
10. Lead, market, and coordinate departmental special events such as Hall of Fame Banquet, Soctober, Homecoming, End of the Year Celebration, Make-A-Wish endeavors, Annual Silent Auction, etcetera.
11. Assist in coordinating and tracking community engagement endeavors.
12. Assist with general business-related functions - developing POs, reporting, purchasing card reconciliation, invoicing, etcetera.
13. Seek to serve on institutional, conference, and national committees to further enhance the Athletic Department's standing with the various constituencies.
14. Sport supervision of assigned sports.
15. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the job.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees ticketing student workers and possible sport oversight.
Required Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, public relations, or related field; Masters preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a professional, high-paced professional environment and direct experience with fundraising, constituent or community engagement, business operations, and/or special events preferred.
Skills: Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills, experience managing projects to meet deadlines successfully, time management, the ability to develop and maintain record-keeping systems and procedures, general understanding of business functions, including a working knowledge of a donor management database system and ARMS software is preferred.
Licenses or Certifications: Valid driver's license that is in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy office and University environment. Work is performed in a busy office and University setting. Must be able to work some nights and weekends, with some travel required.
