Organization: KDP Full-/Part-Time: Non-Exempt Full-Time Permanent/Temporary: Permanent Location: Hybrid (remote and office) work within Central Indiana Salary: $55,000 - $58,000 Benefits: Competitive health, retirement, Paid Time Off and more Travel Required: Up to 3x per year for KDP conferences/events Reports to: Chief Advancement & Partnerships Officer Supervision: This role does not directly supervise other staff. Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) inspires and equips future and new teachers to thrive. Celebrating excellence in teaching from campus to classroom, KDP provides community, connection, and competencies for teacher candidates in their final years of preparation as well as new teachers in their first 3 years of instruction.

Nationally, KDP's membership stretches across 675 institutional chapters and 30,000 individual members, who are recognized for their achievements in becoming a teacher of excellence. Short Description The Assistant Director of Advancement & Partnerships (ADAP) supports a wide variety of activities and administrative functions related to KDP's development effort. The ADAP role reports to the Chief Advancement & Partnerships Officer and also works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to develop and implement campaigns, solicit support from donors and partners, and works with internal teams to ensure accurate, complete, and secure tracking of all donations, sponsorships, and prospective donors.

Position Duties 1. Operationalize fundraising campaigns-both digital and print-in collaboration with various team members. Solicit monetary and in-kind donations.

Collaborate with marketing to create content, graphics, and print pieces. Build Classy online fundraising giving campaigns and messages. Coordinate production and mailing of fundraising appeals, including the development of mailing lists.

Organize and manage fundraising booth at KDP Convo. Review website for regular changes based on timely campaigns and/or fixes that need to be made to development pages. 2.

Cultivate relationships with donors, partners, volunteers, and staff regarding various development operations. Build and deepen relationships with members, donors, and partners. Provide excellent customer service.

Serve as liaison with Administration and IT in the implementation of development processes. Manage online donor giving system(s) to ensure seamless and effective integration with communication and development systems and processes. Maintain GuideStar profile for organization.

3. Ensure the maintenance of accurate, complete, secure, and up-to-date records on all donors, gifts, agreements, donor files, and correspondence, related to prospects, donors, and partners. Maintain partnership and individual donor electronic files that contain detailed information on each relationship.

Create and update profiles for partners, donors, and/or prospects. Update and maintain records in Association Anywhere membership database-recording Classy fundraising platform gifts, updating personal information, inputting contact reports, management-related notes, and other information. Maintain standards for donor confidentiality, stewardship, and use of funds.

4. Celebrate and recognize gifts to KDP. Prepare gift processing paperwork, send timely digital and print acknowledgement letters, draft other related correspondence, and coordinate gift receipting.

Prepare report data for Chief Advancement & Partnerships Officer as well as the KDP Chief Officers and Board of Directors. Celebrate gifts and donors with handwritten notecards. 5.

Support KDP endowed chapter grant and scholarship fund administration. Draft award reports for chapter grant and scholarship fund donors in Informz email marketing platform. Fully implement process within Association Anywhere membership database to notify chapters of chapter grant funds available.

Support collection of scholarship and chapter grant recipient testimony. 6. Assist in identifying additional prospects through a systematic program of prospect research and evaluation.

Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate, foundation, individual, and government donors. Assemble donor briefing materials/packets for events and meetings. 7.

Utilize technology for efficient work processes, detailed reporting, and high-touch engagement. Prepare comprehensive Excel spreadsheets by running database reports, using formulas to manipulate information, and inserting additional data through VLOOKUPs. Perform mail merges to create personalized emails, letters, and mailing labels.

Collaboratively work in files on Office 365 SharePoint. Host Zoom meetings and manage recordings, polls, breakout rooms, and troubleshooting for attendees. Maximize digital fundraising campaigns through the Classy platform by utilizing Classy newsletters and trainings to be the expert on staff.

8. Complete Other Duties, as Assigned Support annual budgeting cycle and work plan creation. Perform other projects and initiatives, as assigned.

What You'll Need for Success Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience preferred. Degree in Communications, Advancement, Philanthropic Studies, or related area preferred. Experience: Experience with nonprofit association and/or education organization is preferred.

Knowledge: Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook), Zoom, email marketing platforms, association management systems, and/or customer relationship management systems. Skills and Competencies: Dedication to customer service and excellent relationship management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Highly organized with professional demeanor. Strong attention-to-detail.
