Position Overview: The Assistant Director of Admissions is responsible for managing the admissions process at the institution. This position involves the development and implementation of admission policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure the enrollment of a diverse and talented student body. The Assistant Director of Admissions will work closely with the Director of Admissions, academic departments, and other administrative offices to achieve institutional enrollment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement admission policies and procedures that support the institution's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
- Oversee the evaluation of applications for admission, including reviewing academic credentials.
- Collaborate with academic departments and other administrative offices to promote the institution's academic programs and resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to process applications in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of applicant data and enrollment statistics.
- Provide guidance and support to prospective students and families throughout the admission process.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in admissions.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in admissions or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of higher education industry trends and best practices.
