SalaryStar Stone is looking to hire full-time Diesel Mechanic Helper. This job is at our Moulton Yard 12 miles southwest of the City of Rocks National Reserve. You CAN live on-site, in your own trailer (for free), or you can live in our humble living quarters for $200 a month (shared rooms).
You would also be eligible for a total benefits package amounting to as much as $7,000 more in annual income. This includes:

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT DIESEL MECHANIC
As a full-time Diesel Mechanic apprentice and helper, you'll be assisting our head mechanic to keep a variety of rock quarry equipment running.
You'll perform inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair for fleet equipment, while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Includes repair of hydraulic equipment, diesel engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes and air systems. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. No es necesario que hable bien el inglés.
You'll learn the tricks of the trade, and have a chance at advancement to full-time Diesel Mechanic.
Preferred Experience, but NOT required:
Experience welding and basic metal fabrication.
Ability to work on Wheeled Equipment such as: Semi-trucks, Dump trucks, Graders
Ability to work on Heavy Equipment such as: Excavators, Loaders, Bulldozers
Experience with Hydraulic, Diesel Engine, Transmission, Suspension, Brake and Air Systems
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, such as heavy lifting (comfortably lift 100 lbs.), standing for extended periods of time
Physical strength and stamina to perform the job
Certification in technical school for Diesel Mechanics
Ability to speak Spanish is a big plus. Personality and attitude are more important than experience. No es necesario que hable inglés.
DUTIES
Help perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
Learn to diagnose and repair fleet equipment.
Perform maintenance-related work as required.
Train on conducting safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.

DIESEL MECHANIC TRAINEE WORK SCHEDULE
You will work daylight hours as you are capable, minimum 40 hours per week. You might work Saturdays. You have Sundays off.
