Form of workPosition Overview:
Responsible for teaching students in our training programs in classroom and hands-on management of the Hawks Nest Café at the Lanza Center. The instructor is responsible for sound educational practices and the academic development of each student. The instructor will also manage their classroom environment and promote a positive and engaging learning experience, provide support, tutoring and other assistance to students as needed implement Instructors are to “model" the professional behaviors, language, and activities of a Chef/food service professional as well the expected behaviors of youth throughout our programs.
Position Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED, required.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English), preferred.
- Culinary Diploma/Certification or some formal culinary education, required.
- ServSafe Certification, required.
- ServSafe Instructor preferred or must become a certified Servsafe instructor within 6 months of hire, if not.
- One year experience as a chef/cook/instructor, required.
- Experience in catering, preferred.
Rate of Pay: $33.80 Per Hour Flat Rate
