JOB PURPOSE:
For over twenty years CDA Paving and Concrete Specialties has developed a rock-solid reputation of building from the ground up, starting with our employees. We are seeking an accounting manager for our expanding corporate office. This position would report to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for daily and ongoing operations. Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience with GAAP will complement our collaborative team committed to continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- General Ledger and related journals for monthly/quarterly/yearly close for several corporate entities.
- Job costing for multiple divisions
- Material management for numerous gravel pits
- Reconciliation of operational systems to the general ledger, timekeeping, and invoicing
- Asset management and related depreciation
- Assist with establishing standard operating procedures
- Review and analyze credit terms and limits, treasury function, payroll, and sales tax reporting
- Departmental projects as necessary, year-end support for external CPAs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent
- Three-plus years of experience in accounting, preferred construction, and contracting knowledge
- CPA preferred
- Exposure to corporate/partnership taxation and business law
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Robust organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple projects
