Assistant Controller

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Brothers Eosso has an exciting opportunity for a newly created Assistant Controller role. This Team Member will be a financial leader for our New Jersey division in a rapidly growing national organization and will report to the Corporate Controller.

The ideal applicant will possess strong working knowledge as a Staff Accountant with hands-on experience working with the P&L and Balance Sheet. This role will help manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization.

DUTIES:

• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards.
• Be the lead on billing and receivables. Manage all customer portfolios: contracts, invoices and collections. Liaison with Sales & Operations to optimize DSO.
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
• Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing supporting documentation, and addressing inquiries from auditors.
• Become in-house expert with all aspects of ERP (NetSuite) while developing enhanced financial reporting both locally and nationally to drive data-lead business decisions.
• Prepare account analysis, bank reconciliations, and supporting journal entries.
• Manage purchase orders process throughout the company to ensure proper accruals.
• Oversee Payroll and Human Resource administrative functions (Paycor).

REQUIRMENTS:

• Accounting Degree from accredited institution is a must.
• Experience in NetSuite (GL system) a plus.
• Possess detailed financial analysis that can extract business insights to support decision making.
• Must be able to demonstrate advanced excel skills. Strong written and verbal communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
