Assistant Coffee Shop Manager

Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee is seeking an assistant manager to craft beautiful coffee for the Atlanta community. LTH Coffee is a seed-to-cup company that collaborates directly with Rwandan coffee farmers, operates two washing stations in-country, roasts in Atlanta, and serves the community through multiple cafes across the US.

Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and engaged. To be successful as an Assistant Manager, you should demonstrate management & leadership skills and ensure that the caf staff carries out all duties efficiently.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare hot and cold drinks in accordance with customer needs and company recipes
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
• Follow health and safety guidelines Interact with customers regularly and professionally
• Prepare small food items, pastries, and alcoholic beverages
• Provide excellent service to our community, being inviting and welcoming to all
• Lead the team through service/Lead by example
• Assist with ordering, Inventory, and waste management
• Oversee hiring and training of baristas.
• Creates schedules that ensure adequate staffing and labor cost-effectiveness.
• Maintaining partnerships with current suppliers and establishing partnerships with local suppliers ie: bakery
• Schedule live music and social events.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of management or leadership experience.
• Working experience as a barista is preferred but not required
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Experience using Toast and Homebase is a plus, not required.
• ServSafe or other food handlers/bartenders certification is a plus.
• Available mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.50 - $20.00/hour.
