The Xavier University Athletics Department seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Coach for Women's Soccer. This position assists the Women's Soccer Head Coach with direction and administrative oversight of the intercollegiate Women's Soccer program relative to successful athletic performance, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, and providing the necessary leadership for a positive competitive environment for student-athletes. The Department of Athletics sponsors 19 sports programs with more than 330 student-athletes, and is a member of the BIG EAST Conference.

- A proven record of success in NCAA collegiate soccer
Sport Specific Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and guidance necessary for a positive, competitive environment
- Assists in the design and structure of all practice activity
- Aids in the strategic planning for individual player development
Academics
- Meets with Academic Advisor to assure eligibility of student-athletes
- Monitors academic progress of student-athletes
Recruiting
- Responsible for initial contact and communication with targeted athletes
- Evaluates prospective student-athletes and their prospective fit with Xavier
- Keeps strong relationships with local coaches
- Administers all recruiting travel, calendars, and visit itineraries
Compliance with NCAA and BIG EAST Conference rules and regulations
- Communicates regularly with Compliance Officer concerning admissions, eligibility, recruiting and any other procedures relating to the sport
- Maintains team roster and reports changes throughout the season to Compliance Officer
Budget Management
- Works directly with the Business director to ensure that procurements, travel, recruiting etc. are in line with the appropriate funds allotted
- Coordinates fundraising plans in the event additional means are necessary
- Works with Sport Administrator to complete administrative details for the sport
