Job Description
General Job Brief:
Assists the head coaches of Track & Field and Cross Country with recruitment to meet the goals of each program, various day-to-day operations, academic accountability, and travel logistics for the fall and spring seasons.
This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach to maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, excellence.
- Build and maintain a database for recruitment, conduct initial screening of prospective student-athletes, and coordinate with the coaching staff on recruitment progress.
- Communicate regularly with the Athletic Recruitment Coordinators.
- Communicate regularly with the Enrollment Management Specialists and Academic Services in matters related to student-athlete success.
- Assist the head coaches with team travel logistics for competitions and events.
- Assist in academic accountability and help student-athletes connect with other resources available on campus.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
- The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
Demonstrated success as a coach and/or operations coordinator.
Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University
Working Conditions:
General sport environment
Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks.
Time Required:
Standard college calendar for in-season and out-of-season.
