Mercer University is searching for an Assistant Coach for Football.Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the head football coach, the Assistant Coach should have a working knowledge of Southern League and NCAA policies, rules and regulations and adhere to these policies as they pertain to the job. The Assistant Coach should represent Mercer in a first-class manner and is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and recruiting student-athletes.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and prior football coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level, are required. Candidates must annually complete the Recruiting Certification from NCAA/Southern Conference.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to teach football schemes to student-athletes.
- Ability to work in extreme weather during practice and competition.
- Ability to communicate and motivate student-athletes.
- Ability to recruit student-athletes that fit our scheme.
- Strong communication skills.
