Title: Assistant Child Care Director
Reports to: Sugar House Child Care Director
Salary Range/Benefits: $35,000+ DOE. Bonus potential, paid leave, medical and other insurance benefits, 401(k), and discounted childcare.

Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday 10:30-6:30 PM. Some evenings and weekends are required.
Status: Salary, Non-exempt.

Job Summary:
The Sugar House Boys & Girls Club is looking for a strong, energetic, and dynamic leader to serve some of the most promising youth on Salt Lake City's east side. The Assistant Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of a broad range of programs for the Child Care program. They seek out positive relationships with community partners, Club parents, and Club Members. The Child Care Program Director is also responsible for administrative tasks such as monthly program reporting, grant management, grant reporting, and frequent program evaluations. Responsibilities include:

● General support to the Director with behavioral issues and discipline
● Programming and planning support to all teacher
● Budgeting, data collection and reporting
● Shopping for food program and YDP supply shopping
● Training, engaging, and supporting staff
● Keeping track of licensing rules and making sure teachers and staff comply with these rules
● Planning special parent and Club events
● Knowing and carrying out all Boys and Girls Club national program requirements
● General cleaning and organization of program space

Other Requirements:

● High school diploma or GED
● Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
● Be able to function for more than 2 hours on your feet
● Be adaptable and flexible to change
● Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
