About Evermore 

Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. The surrounding beach areas feature zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private firepits, a lively food hall & gourmet market, a casual dining restaurant, and an event Boathouse that will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for weddings, banquets, and corporate meetings. Evermore is building a team that will bring these experiences to life in 2023 and is seeking individuals that want the challenge of building this exciting resort experience. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for maintaining Engineering operations in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
  • Directs, trains, and supervises staff in accordance with property operations and the property’s policies and procedures.
  • Creates weekly/monthly schedules, maintains up to date late/absence calendar and inputs schedules into UKG.
  • Collaborates with Chief Engineer in presenting and writing performance reviews.
  • Collaborates with Chief Engineer in presenting and writing corrective discipline documentation.
  • Assists in conducting staff meetings and attending management meetings when requested.
  • Ensures guest and Team Member maintenance needs or other requests are being resolved in a timely manner.
  • Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes all assigned work orders and does all necessary repairs.
  • Logs all assigned work orders including preventative maintenance in an organized manner.
  • Maintains maintenance tracking systems and equipment.
  • Collaborates with Chief Engineer in creating and producing weekly and monthly bullet points outlining the Engineering team’s progress.
  • Creates requested reports.
  • Orders supplies.
  • Tracks inventory, Transcendent assets, and other maintenance programs.
  • Conducts building walkthroughs with other departments and arranges correction on any problems noted.
  • Responsible for correct use of the office equipment, the EMS system, and the Life Safety Systems
  • Accurate record keeping for tasks and projects.
  • Maintaining asset tracking systems and equipment.
  • Producing accurate financial reports and tracking expenses
  • Assuring work is complete and/or parts have arrived.
  • Approving invoices to be paid if they are within our budget in Chief Engineer’s absence.
  • Covering shifts when Team Members are not scheduled or absent, being flexible and available to cover any shift, including being available after hours for emergency calls.
  • Conducting and attending meetings
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and promoting the same within the engineering department and the entire resort. Positively and proactively interface and assist other departments when needed particularly in slow and off-peak seasons.
  • Resolve problems immediately by involving only those necessary to achieve positive results for the resort and customer. Shares limited internal operational details with customers to resolve problems.
  • Be alert, courteous and helpful to guests.
  • Must be well-mannered, greet guests and Team Members when encountered, and show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to always help guests and employees.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with staff, management, and guest.
  • Train, develop and maintain Team Member skills and relations.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Practice excellent telephone etiquette (smile in voice) always.
  • Become familiar with all property amenities and other facilities.
  • All other reasonable duties requested by management.

 

Marginal Functions: 

  • Respond to any reasonable task requested by management.
  • Team player and respectful to others
  • Support other departments whenever possible through direct and indirect support.

 

Education, Skills and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational or technical training relating to expertise preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a similar job/role, hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Must meet current MVR guidelines and possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Certified pool operator preferred.
  • The ability to keep meticulous and highly accurate records of yours and your team’s performance.
  • Ability to use and understand smartphone applications.
  • Ability to interact with guests utilizing conversational English, ability to read, write and understand the English language (Bilingual is a plus).
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints preferred.
  • Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to properly use a multimeter.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to operate a computer and be proficient in Google & Microsoft Office programs including Outlook and Gmail.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use and understand smartphone applications.
  • Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines / instructions in English

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and / or reach repeatedly.
  • Able to safely lift up to 75 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials.
  • Able to properly use and work on a ladder and scaffolding.
  • Able to work safely and comfortably in open heights.
  • Able to be on feet and moving around for entire shift.
  • Manual dexterity of hand to use all equipment.
  • Subject to environmental conditions, work activities that occur inside and outside.
