Assistant Brewery Manager

As an Assistant Brewery Manager, your duties will involve:

• Spearheading the implementation of a strategic plan for brewing, batching, and raw material handling processes within the Brewing department.
• Providing leadership and fostering the development of autonomous work groups to enhance core operations and align with the strategic direction of brewing and blending activities.
• Overseeing the entire process, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and offering assistance in troubleshooting.
• Managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and inventory.
• Contributing to the budgeting process to achieve Profit & Loss (P&L) targets and overall capital strategy within the brewery.
• Collaborating with internal brewery departments such as Safety, Environmental, Quality, Maintenance, Central Plant, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Logistics.
• Cultivating talent and allocating resources to identify and implement manufacturing process enhancements.
• Prioritizing Safety and Quality in all activities involving Brewing personnel.

The Assistant Brewery Manager role may be the ideal fit for you if you:

• Proactively mentor and guide brewing operators, leads, and supervisors to prioritize safety, quality, efficiency, and ongoing improvement.
• Spearhead adherence to brewery safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of process equipment by actively managing operators, monitoring processes, and addressing issues as they arise.
• Clearly convey job knowledge and procedural updates to team members and management through various channels such as shift handover meetings, daily production meetings, email correspondence, action logs, work orders, etc.
• Demonstrate a track record of effectively troubleshooting breakdowns within a process-oriented environment.

Qualified candidates will have:

• A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Science, or Brewing/Fermentation.
• Over 7 years of manufacturing experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience within a Brewery environment, demonstrating successful management of direct reports across all shifts in a 24/7 operation.
• Strong preference for experience in Brewery filtration.
• Demonstrated proficiency in high-speed, multi-SKU beverage manufacturing and packaging facilities is highly desired.
• Required knowledge of GMP, HAACP, and food safety standards, with certification being preferred.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Science, or Brewing/Fermentation.
• 7+ years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in Brewery environment, including successful management of direct reports across all shifts in 24/7 operation
• Brewery filtration experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrable expertise in high speed, multi-sku beverage manufacturing and packaging facility highly preferred.
• GMP, HAACP, food safety knowledge required. Certification preferred.
