SalaryPosition is part- to full-time for executing and/or assisting in day-to-day brewery operations. Looking for someone with experience and understanding of the brewing process, however, a strong desire to learn, willingness to work hard, a passion for beer and our brand is most important. The Assistant Brewer will report directly to the Head Brewer and will be actively involved in all facets of day-to-day operations.
Duties & Responsibilities (to include but are not limited to):
- Assist production team with brewing related projects
- Handling raw ingredients properly
- Milling
- Brewhouse operation
- Quality control
- Cellar work (beer transfer, carbonation, gravity check, yeast handling)
- Keg washing
- Packaging product (kegging and canning)
- Sanitizing tanks, hoses, etc.
- Proper handling and titration of chemicals required for sanitization and cleaning
- Understanding and practicing all internal safety standards
Requirements:
- Passion for the 13 Stripes Brewery brand
- Passion for all things Craft Beer
- Strong work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to be on your feet most of the day and to lift 55+ lbs regularly
- Comfortable working with chemicals and willingness to adhere to safety, environmental, and brewhouse standards at all times
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
