Assistant Brewer / Cellar Person

STEREO BREWING is looking to add our brew team! We are an award-winning brewery that is looking for a self-motivated & adaptable team member. We’re a small team, so you get to be involved with all steps of the brewing operations.

Would be open to a hybrid position also, with 3 days working in production and a couple days in the front of house.

Duties Include:

• Assist with canning / bottling / kegging beer
• Clean and sanitize kegs
• Assist with brewing, transferring, filtering, and cellaring beer.
• Actively prepare ingredients, including malt, hops, and yeast.
• Monitor and document fermentation activity.
• Monitor quality, flavor, and carbonation of on-site beers.
• Maintain and track raw material inventory, including malt, hops and yeast
• Provide responsibility for documentation of safety and general operational protocols (SOPs) for brewery and related manufacturing operations; quality control; cellaring; packaging; and material handling aspects of the brewery manufacturing operation.
• Maintain proper cleanliness and organization throughout manufacturing operations.
• Properly clean up and wash down equipment and brewing area after brew days.
• Properly clean and sanitize all fermenters
• Properly keg beers from brite tank
• Participate and represent the brewery in a professional manner various tastings, festivals, and/or beer events, both on-site and off-site.
• Proficient in email (Outlook), Microsoft Office and Excel

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 2+ years prior work experience in a production brewery or brewpub
• Able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs.) on a continual basis. Able to transport up to 160 lbs. (full kegs) with assistance.
• Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours per shift. Able to work in crowded and confined spaces.
• Able to maintain excellent customer service and high level of ethics while working under pressure.
• QA/QC knowledge, lab experience & yeast propagation a huge plus
• Love of music a plus. Journey fans need not apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
