- Oversee the marketing efforts of the Athletic Department, positively promoting its student-athletes, coaches, programs, and the department as a whole through multiple mediums including print, digital, social media, live events and game-day atmosphere.
- Create game day atmosphere to encourage fan attendance, including but not limited to promotional materials, in-game promotions and entertainment, sponsorship fulfillment, scripting, honors and recognitions.
- Assist with gozags.com website, including the marketing and promotional portions of the website.
- Collaborate on the marketing of revenue generating items such as ticket sales, development solicitations, licensed products, sponsorship activations and other opportunities for the Athletic Department.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Marketing to maximize the use of student interns at all Gonzaga athletic contests and events.
- Oversee the spirit programs (Band, Cheer, and Mascot) including scheduling of appearances at games, University events, and outside events.
- Serve as a liaison to the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership related to student engagement and attendance at Athletic events.
- Oversee all phases of the production of creative video including conceptualization, scripting, planning, lighting, photographing, sound recording, editing, and graphics creation, authoring, and producing.
- Oversee creative design concepts that effectively communicate and elevate the Gonzaga Athletics brand. Maintain visual identity and brand continuity in both print and digital environments. Content created and executed will include, but not be limited to still graphics, motion graphics, print materials, and large format graphics using the Adobe software creative suite.
- Oversee social media, including strategy and implementation on all Athletic Department social media sites.
- Meet regularly, at least bi-monthly, with all direct reports.
- Manage performance on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
- Ensure effective performance management for indirect reports.
- Create and ensure opportunities for team development through multiple mechanisms and support recognition efforts that build morale.
- Steward all resources, including budget, effectively and appropriately.
- Meet operational targets, develop innovate solutions, and continuously improve department and operational efforts.
- Support and contribute to hiring efforts that meet departmental operational and mission needs.

- Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in Marketing & promotions or other related field.
- At least one (1) year of demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience working in an athletic setting.
- Full-time experience in intercollegiate athletics administration.
- Full-time experience with direct Marketing & promotions responsibility of D-I football and/or basketball.
- Weekend and evening work is required.
- Work is discharged in an office environment as well as an event environment.
- Remain in stationary position 50% of the time.
- Wrist and hand movement related to computer work.
