About the Department:The mission of the NC State University Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic, and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University.
Essential Job Duties:Under direct supervision of the Senior Associate Athletics Director – External Relations, the Assistant AD – External & NIL Relations will:
- Lead internal working group discussions, collaborating closely with the staff and Student-Athlete Advisory Council, internal initiatives related to educating staff, coaches and administration on NIL trends and news
- Provide guidance and vision for NIL initiatives and landscape
- Work closely on NIL licensed merchandise initiatives and serve as a liaison with Learfield (Wolfpack Sports Properties) related to corporate partner NIL education and initiatives
- Serve as a liaison to Accelerate Sports Ventures as well as other outside entities that partner with NC State Athletics in the NIL space
- Serve as the point of contact with campus for department licensing, retail and branding initiatives
- Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in marketing and branding, communications, student-athlete development, sports-related marketing, sponsorship or similar field
- Strong awareness and working knowledge of compliance education, rules and regulations related to NIL
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Able to communicate well in written, oral and interpersonal communication and build rapport with student-athletes, coaches, and department stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, INFCR, Brand and other social platforms
