Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day forest operations and staff.
- Assist with existing client relations and procurement of new clients.
- Technical forestry work (timber cruising, timber marking, prescribed burning, etc.)
- Develop new lines of work and make improvements in existing systems and operations
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Forestry from a Society of American Foresters accredited program is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in consulting forestry, forest industry, timber procurement (or similar)
- Must be honest, ethical, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Leadership skills and experience in working with and managing personnel
- Background and experience in prescribed fire implementation
- Applicants must be in good physical condition.
- Familiarity with common forest technology is expected.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and written skills are needed.
- Able and willing to work long hours when necessary
- Strong ability to multi-task
