Our client, a private real estate investor and developer is in search of a diligent and highly organized Asset Manager to oversee their diverse portfolio. Comprising 200 residential doors across three properties and 600,000 square feet of commercial space, our client takes a mission-driven approach to property development. Position Overview:
As an Asset Manager, you will play a pivotal role in efficiently overseeing the existing real estate portfolio, allowing your principal the freedom to pursue new projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks, possess a robust understanding of property management, and can navigate the intricacies of reconciling accounts, completing CAM accounting, and managing budgets for construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Utilize QuickBooks to reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records. Provide full charge bookkeeping, collect rents, manage AP and AR, deposit checks, and complete monthly reconciliations.
- Complete Common Area Maintenance (CAM) accounting for commercial properties.
- Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, ensuring financial goals are met.
Property Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of residential and commercial properties.
- Be the first point of contact on general and prospective client inquiries.
- Address tenant concerns and maintain positive tenant relationships.
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, leveraging prior experience in construction or property maintenance.
Communication and Reporting:
- Regularly communicate with your principal, providing updates on property performance and financial matters.
- Generate reports on property metrics, financial performance, and construction project progress.
Office Management:
- Run monthly team meetings.
- Maintain systems & build new systems to improve efficiency.
- Manage calendars and emails on behalf of the management company
Remote Work:
- This work-from-home position requires a self-motivated and disciplined individual who can manage their tasks and responsibilities with minimal oversight. A co-working space can be provided if you do not want to work from home.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in property management, including residential and commercial properties.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
- Familiarity with CAM accounting processes.
- Strong budgeting skills, particularly in the context of construction projects.
- Prior experience in construction or property maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
Key Software Proficiency:
- Proficient with Quickbooks
- MS Office Suite/Excel (spreadsheets & proformas)
- Prop mgmt software (Buildium, AppFolio)
The Details:
Salary: $55k - $70k commensurate with experience, possibility of profit share for a strong contributor
Benefits: Paid time-off, sick leave, health care reimbursement
Hours: Full-time, 40+ hrs/week M-F, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Fully remote)
