Job Title: Asset Management Specialist

Location: Arlington VA

Client: WHS JSP

Clearance: Active Secret

Job Description:

  • Validate existing information in the configuration management and Asset Management system, using the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data and the Configuration Items (CI), and document and submit the initial AV/VTC Physical Inventory updates
  • Initiate automated hand receipts (DD Form 1150) in DPAS (and/or Government approved APSR tool) whenever a reportable AV/VTC asset is issued, relocated, or reassigned or turned in and shall request customer signature while on-site and before closure of incident or service
  • The information contained in and the signed DD Form 1150s will be entered/uploaded in DPAS and ITSM for accountability and audit readiness. If the customer identifies a discrepancy, the Contractor shall reconcile hardware agreement with the Accountable Property Officer (APO), Property Custodians (PC) or Property Administrators (PA)
  • The Contractor shall designate an inventory control specialist and/or asset property custodian to manage inventory levels, update and maintain accountable records in DPAS for AV/VTC equipment issued
  • Provide assets management Interfaces with personnel to coordinate meetings, maintain logs, records and files, provide
    assets tracking of AV/VTC equipment as required
  • Follow the program's enterprise management approach for request fulfillment of AV/VTC customer requests including documenting and managing requests in JSP's requirement management system
  • The Contractor shall provide the Government market research through contracting processes and best business practices as required
  • Maintain and update the inventory database daily as information is received and/or changed. The database should provide ad-hoc reports to enable rapid analysis of information
  • The Contractor shall maintain a room report that provides a listing of all equipment in a specified room with all information regarding the attributes of the various pieces of equipment, such as building, room number/name, agency information, make/model, and maintenance information
  • Provide ad-hoc reports on any room or AV/VTC equipment requested
  • The Contractor shall receive AV/VTC equipment and spare parts and track their installation locations and configurations within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and other Asset Management systems in accordance with AV/VTC Asset Management processes
  • Perform annual inventory of 100% of the AV/VTC equipment
  • Complete and submit AV/VTC Physical Inventory updates
  • Maintain an asset database for all JSP AV/VTC system equipment. This subtask does not apply to property accountability but rather means the collection and documentation of the software and hardware configuration of each AV/VTC system, peripherals, and network resources

Required Qualifications

  • An active DoD Secret security clearance is required
  • Four (4) years of experience with the following: Property Accountability, DPAS, Inventory Control and experience with creating and developing spreadsheets
