Position Profile
Weaver’s Financial Services practice is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join our growing Asset Management Consulting practice! You will be a core member of our team and the role will work on client engagements in the Asset Management/financial services sector.
Our ideal Manager/Senior Manager is a driven team player who provides excellent service to clients throughout all phases of an engagement while developing, training and mentoring Associates and Senior Associates. They work closely with leadership and play a key role in business development, engagement economics, and meeting client expectations.
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred, relevant industry experience will be taken into consideration
- CPA, CIA, CCRP, CRMA designation
- 7+ years of public accounting, industry, audit, compliance or consulting experience
- Advanced understanding of the Asset Management/financial services industry, and the associated the compliance and risk requirements
- Advanced understanding of compliance, internal audit, risk, IIA standards and/or SEC related requirements for Asset Management and financial services firms
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience supervising 2 to 5 or more individuals and proven ability to manage and develop staff
- Strong project management, independent thinking, and decision-making skills
- Understanding of financial reporting, transaction cycles, and business processes
- Extensive internal and/or external audit experience with a variety of industries and types of audits for public companies
- Understanding of the SEC/FINRA/CFTC regulations, COSO internal control framework, Internal Audit Standards
