Description Asset Management Consultant
POWER's Advanced Utility Solutions (AUS) team is seeking an Asset Management Consultant with deep technical experience to join our team of industry experts as we continue building for the future! The Consultant's primary responsibility will be to design, develop, test and implement innovative Esri GIS and Asset Management solutions to solve our client's complex needs.
The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full time at a location other than a POWER Engineers designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
The Asset Management Consultant will have the following roles and responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement Esri GIS centric solutions for our utility and municipal government clients
- Configure, test and deploy Asset Management solutions software, and Esri ArcGIS software for utility and municipal government clients
- Design, develop and implement customizations and automations to support our clients unique work and Asset Management business processes using repeatable low code/no code tools.
- Build connections with new and existing clients through outstanding customer service and trust
- Provide high quality and timely written and oral communications both internally and with clients
- Lead project workshops and training sessions
- Develop work process documentation
- As needed, participate in business development activities and strategic Division initiatives aimed at improving processes, procedures and guidelines
- Exhibit a passion for working effectively as part of a team and be able to collaborate and accept/provide feedback to teammates
The Asset Management Consultant must have the following experience, skills and knowledge:
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in GIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or other technical science degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2-6 Years of experience in the above stated skills, knowledge and responsibilities
- Experience deploying software either as a professional services consultant or as an employee of a utility company or city/county government
- Deep experience with Esri GIS applications
- Excellent professional and organization skills, good written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
It is advantageous for the applicant to have the following experience, skills and knowledge:
- Experience deploying and using the ArcGIS platform
- Familiarity with the work processes of electric, gas and water utilities and public works departments
- Project implementation lifecycle experience (Requirements, Development, Training, Deployment)
- Familiarity with software develop methodologies (RUP, Agile, Waterfall)
- Experience integrating GIS with Asset Management Systems, Customer Information Systems and Accounting Systems
- General knowledge of development best practices
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle including writing database update scripts and creating database reports (SSRS, PowerBI, Esri Dashboards)

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $70K - $100K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
