$2 shift differential for working 2nd shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for operating a variety of tools essential for the job, including but not limited to wire feed welder, plasma cutter, oxygen and acetylene cutting torches, hand drill, hammer, needle gun, chisel, utility knives, putty scraper, disk sander, rivet gun, impact wrench, huck gun, grinder, clamps, combination square, automatic welder, and tape measure.
You will possess the ability to weld in different positions such as vertical, flat, vertical lap, and overhead.
You will be capable of setting up diverse parts and assemblies for welding and preparing machines for carbon and stainless steel of various gauges.
Your responsibilities will include placing and moving blocking, braces, and jigs to secure parts, as well as using wedges, drift pins, turnbuckles, pry bars, and other tools to align parts.
You will have the expertise to grind or chip rough edges, excess weld, or scale, as well as position and assemble clamps and straps.
Operating overhead cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices will be part of your role, along with performing measurement and quality checks, recording findings, and operating robotic weld equipment.
You will possess the knowledge to execute all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and highly productive manner in accordance with company policies.
Ability to work mandatory overtime. Other duties may be assigned by the company.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, based on education and work experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Preferred Assembly Welder Certification
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
You must demonstrate the ability to accurately read and utilize gauges, tape measures, and comprehend blueprints.
You should be able to read and understand Process sheets.
Basic shop math skills (fractions, measurements).
Familiarity with welding practices.
Proficiency in setting up and operating weld machines, oxygen and acetylene torch, plasma machines, and robotic welders.
Knowledge of weld defect identification and repair.
Successful completion of written and hands-on weld tests.
Successful completion of a pulmonary function test.
You should be proficient in:
