Discover Impactful Work:The Electronic Manufacturing Technician will work on a variety of radiation detection instruments for both government and commercial customers.
A day in the Life:- Set up test equipment to test appropriate equipment using established procedures, schematics, and knowledge of the assigned technology, systems, and components, and resolve any issues outside desired results
- Daily production work building electromechanical sub-assemblies and assemblies.
- Understanding and maintaining critical work cell Operations metrics.
- Basic inventory management, such as pulling parts lists and providing inventory reports
- Managing inventory and documentation for assembly needs.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required
- 2-year technical electronic's degree/certificate in a directly related field or equivalent military education/training
- Assembly experience at least 1-3 years, preferably with electromechanical assemblies.
- Consistent experience being able to read and understand technical information and instructions.
- Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, schematics, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Understand basic theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components.
- Demonstrate proper use of simple hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment and mechanical measuring devices.
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer to retrieve technical drawings, documents, and instructions.
- Ability to sit and/or stand at a workbench for long periods of time through the workday.
