Job Description
International Optical Medical Device company located in Orange County, CA is looking to identify and hire a Systems Technician / Assembly Technician on a contract basis. Reporting to the Supervisor, LDD Manufacturing, the Systems Technician will be doing assembly of submodules of the Light Delivery Device (LDD) including packaging of the finished device.
The Systems Technician / Assembly Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Interacting with other functions including but not limited to Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory.
- Assembling a variety of sub-assembly, including opto-mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical, that will be integrated into systems.
- Conducting tests according to established work instructions utilizing a variety of complex electrical, optical and mechanical test and measurement equipment.
- Assisting in validation protocols, execution, annotate deviations and developing final report.
- With guidance from engineering, layout test setups, perform tests, gather test data and records results in accordance with SOP and FDA requirements.
- Supporting process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, as well as ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Technical degree (preferred) or a minimum of 3-5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment testing complex systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge but not limited to oscilloscopes, DMM’s, gauges and Power Meters.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing ERP software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- A track record of success in assembling and testing to high quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written formats, as well as excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to interface effectively with all levels and functions within the organization.
- Optical handling, alignment and bonding techniques is desired.
