Job Description:
As an Asphalt Paving Crew Member, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of asphalt repair and paving projects. Working under the supervision of the Crew Foreman, you will contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of our paving operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and take direction from crew foreman on what is needed to complete the projects throughout the day
- Prior to leaving the shop - ensuring all equipment needed for the day is loaded and ready for use
- End of each day - ensuring all equipment is cleaned, maintained and ready for use the following day
- Loading and unloading equipment and tools required for completing the scope of work
- Operating and maintaining tools and equipment needed to sweep, mill, place, and compact asphalt - this includes skid loaders with attachments, asphalt rollers, paver, etc.
- Asphalt paving and patching - Shoveling, raking, luting, and compacting asphalt
- Site clean up - at the end of each job, the jobsite must be cleaned, swept and prepared for the next crew to perform their job responsibilities
- Pick up asphalt from asphalt plants and deliver to jobsite
- Perform various miscellaneous needs required to complete projects per specifications
Qualifications:
- Must have dedication to attendance and punctuality
- Previous experience in Asphalt Paving is highly preferred, but not required - will need to have some proficiency with heavy equipment in order to be successful at this position
- Ability to work up to six days a week, Monday through Saturday
- Ability to work long hours/extended shifts as needed - average hours are generally 7am to 3pm, but can vary based on the scope of work scheduled for the day
- Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
