We're looking for an ASIC Physical Design Engineer to join our team! You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing mixed signal circuits used in the development of industrial automation products. We are engaged in developing new silicon-to-systems solutions, development of advanced mixed signal designs, product development, systems design and validation resulting in world class solutions. In this position, you will collaborate with Banner's various design and verification teams to proactively design products that optimize all manufacturing functions and assure the best cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Contribute to the development of new product opportunities by assisting with the overall design, layout, and optimization of Industrial mixed signal circuits.
- IC floor-planning, physical design, mixed signal design, logic analysis, design validation, and required tape-out revisions.
- Implementing and managing the layout process including floor-planning, placement, and routing, physical verification, and final signoff for tapeout.
- Customized flow development. • Communicate and collaborate with design team to work towards standardization and group success.
- Proactively solicit guidance from Banner team and ASIC design team to improve the design.
- Driving innovation for Banner Engineering within a dynamic work environment.
- Assist with the design and implementation of IC test and verification
Qualifications and Skills include, but not limited to:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Experience with Mentor Tools (Ledit / Sedit) and Tspice/ELDO or similar (Cadence)
- Requires 3+ years experience as a place and route engineer.
