Responsibilities:
- Support day to day administrative and marketing needs of the operation, which may include our Arts High program, the NJ State Teen Arts Festival as well as exiting new initiatives.
- Balance the daily execution of multiple project related tasks in an efficient, productive and timely manner.
- Support communications with educational partners, school liaisons, parents, program sites and teaching artists.
- Utilize appropriate channels to successfully employ communications, promotions and marketing.
- Assist in the coordination of various annual events, including conferences, fundraisers, festivals, program auditions, as well as special projects.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to ensure the effective operation of the organization's different initiatives through the hands-on effort required for successful implementation.
Qualifications:
- College degree, preferably in arts/marketing.
- The ideal candidate must possess a passion for education in the arts and must have good interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to interact with people from diverse cultures and experiences is necessary.
- Minimums two years related experience in communications/ event planning, promotion in an art based or educational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications, as well as Canva and/or other design platforms.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Technology and social media expertise is necessary.
- Required criminal history check and proof of U.S citizenship or resident alien status.
