Artist/Designer for Video and Motion Graphics

The Position:

We are looking for a creative and talented Graphic Designer for use in Video and Motion Graphics. The candidate will develop artwork for a variety of video types, including short-form animation, live-action, and hybrid videos. Most of the content is educational or informational in nature but taken to new creative heights. This is a fast-paced job, with multiple active projects, so project organization and multitasking ability are a must!

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
• Familiarity with Google Suite/Drive
• General following and understanding of design trends in graphic design and Motion graphic fields
• General Knowledge / Familiarity with User Inference and Information Design for Education or Commercial media
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently within a time budget

Additional skills that will help: 

• Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects/integrations between AI/PSD and AE.
• Basic understanding of the art-to-motion process.
• Understand or have experience with Audio/Visual scripts
• Experience storyboarding for Video is a plus!

Job Duties:

• Immediate needs: 
  • Create or Recreate tables, charts, flowcharts, and diagrams consistent with an established style/artboard under the direction of our art director
  • Design and prepare style frames for Motion Graphics and animations
  • Create and prepare individual layered assets for motion
  • Isolate or break apart elements from photos
  • Design and edit photo characters
• Future needs:
  • Develop unique style templates to guide a project's look and design
  • Create mood and art-style boards to communicate design elements to clients
  • Prepare color pallets, fonts, and visual elements for style guides
  • Manage assets from stock libraries
  • Design and alter vector characters
  • Easily adapt to client edit requests
  • Establish style concepts that can be extended for multiple projects
