Job Summary:

Albers Innovation is looking for students in science and engineering to join our intern program. This program focuses on software engineering and algorithm development within the exciting field of Artificial Intelligence. This opportunity is perfect for individuals eager to explore the realms of computer vision, machine learning, Data Science, and other AI technologies. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist Albers in the design, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation of computer algorithms in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
• Help perform statistical validation of algorithms and demonstrate the efficacy of the solutions.

Required Education and Critical Skills:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field.
• Experience with scientific computing software to conduct research and develop proof of concepts (Matlab or Python)
• Capacity to review and understand existing software algorithms in Matlab or Python
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills; oral and written.
• Must be a United States Citizen.

Desired Additional Skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency Python, Matlab, C/ C++, R.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Data Science.
• Capacity to read and understand academic research papers (identify deficiencies when needed) and apply them to solve technical challenges.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• While primarily an office job, may require time at a manufacturing facility or other location
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• CONUS travel may be required from time to time
