Art Director (Acd)

Summary

Meta is seeking an Associate Creative Director Art Director for a 6+month contract position to focus on social-first content. The ideal candidate is someone who can work proactively and autonomously (in partnership with a writer) to concept, produce, and deliver work with a high attention to detail and under time constraints. This person will work across many projects at once, exploring what's possible, putting social-first concepts forward, and can quickly iterate based on feedback. They are able to deliver work that can convey complex technical concepts as well as simple, consumer-focused ideas.

This person must be comfortable with a fluid schedule, working across multiple projects at once, and can partner with a cross-functional team of creatives, communications, content professionals, production partners, and various key stakeholders across Meta.

You must have a high level of social-first craft (UGC storytelling, motion graphics, trending social templates & elements.) The ideal candidate is a conceptual thinker, has a finger on the pulse of social trends and culture, and is a strategic and proactive problem solver

Required Skills

Demonstrated ability to turn complex subject matter into easy-to-understand and entertaining social content

Concept, art direct, and produce social-first ideas focusing primarily on in-product experiences, short video, leveraging both new and existing formats

Communicate innovative ideas to stakeholders in clear, concise ways to both product, communications and marketing audiences

Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment with writers, designers, editors and senior leaders

Bring passion for the craft of design and art direction

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of experience in an ad agency/in-house concepting and art directing ideas for brand and product

Experience working on social across multiple platforms

Experience translated complex topics into easy-to-understand and entertaining social concepts

Experience designing, art directing and articulating conceptual design decisions

Experience bringing ideas to life with high quality mockups and prototypes use creative software and other tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Cinema4D etc.)

Experience with self-initiated projects

Expert communication skills
