Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing trusting relationships with individuals while providing general support and encouragement
- Assists Mary Cariola employees and Monroe County residents engaged in the program with successfully navigating available resources within the community
- In collaboration with the Cariola Social Work team, develops and maintains a complete and working database of community resources available to individuals including but not limited to support with housing needs, food, legal supports, transportation, daycare and access to technology
- Uses active listening skills to help individuals develop a strategy that identifies long-term solutions to barriers
- Provides high-quality, confidential connections to resources and services available to individuals within our community
- Demonstrates objectivity, empathy, and is non-judgmental in handling all situations
- Works to be visible and accessible to all Mary Cariola employees
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with community-based organizations
- Assists with community education and other community events as requested
- Demonstrates ability to keep appropriate records and track APRA project deliverables as required by Monroe County and Mary Cariola
- Works collaboratively with the ARPA team and Learning & Organizational Development department
- Other duties as assigned

A valid NYS license with an acceptable driving record according to Mary Cariola Center guidelines is required.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field recommended.
Ability to use strategic and analytical thinking skills, solve problems and make decisions. Strong communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
