The Global Security (GS) team protects the firm's people and assets, ensuring the safety of business operations through the implementation of technology, best-in-class talent and client collaboration. Teams are responsible for developing safety policies and procedures, customer safety, pre-employment screening, fraud investigations and security operations on a global basis.
Reporting directly to Retail Northeast Security Director, the Consumer Bank Area Security Specialist will support the execution of security strategies that will improve operational effectiveness and ensure the safety of Chase employees and customers within the Consumer Bank Northeast Division (Connecticut, New York and North New Jersey). These initiatives will help ensure that Chase has the appropriate security controls in the branch environment regarding physical security, technical security, and threat management. The ideal Consumer Bank Area Security Specialist is someone who has the knowledge and expertise in supporting a large physical security program. We are looking for someone who is passionate about security and can drive programs that will achieve both the business and security program objectives.
Job responsibilities:
- Support the Regional Security Manager (RSM) for a specific Region or multiple at any given time
- Support the guard management program including but not limited to requesting coverage, processing invoices, tracking service issues, ensuring coverage data accuracy
- Participate in physical security project activities, meetings, and surveys
- Handle safety and security issues stemming from incident reports
- Identify and communicates risks and issues to management
- Support the life cycle of security systems for existing properties and new-build construction
- Conduct periodic security and personal safety training
- Engage with the Chase branch staff on a regular basis including providing security awareness training
- Ensure security surveys are conducted in accordance with Retail Security standards and procedures
- Conduct branch walkthroughs for construction related projects such as new builds / refreshes
- On call outside regular working hours - Must possess cellular phone with capability to support JPMC sponsored software
- Support the Division as a whole as needed
- Travel is required within the Division as needed
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a security / project management focused role
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of specific experience
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High degree of comfort in fast-paced dynamic / ambiguous environment
- Flexible and comfortable working with multiple competing timelines/tasks
- Ability to communicate succinctly both in writing and in speech
- Experience following with business processes and procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of physical security technology systems a plus
- Experience dealing with business processes and procedures
- Experience in information gathering, tracking, and consolidation
- Experience with contributing to the creation of reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Attention to detail and delivery oriented, able to effectively plan and track to prescribed timeline
