Odell Brewing Company, a family and co-worker owned industry-leading craft brewery, based in Fort Collins Colorado, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic team member to manage sales and distribution of our brands in Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. This position will reside in the Greater Phoenix area.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Area Sales Manager (AZ, NM and NV) is responsible to build and maintain the Odell brand culture through consistent sales efforts. This position will be focused on achieving volume, revenue, and sales results through Point of Distribution (POD) goals while working closely with our distributor partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist Regional Manager in developing an Annual Business Plan for wholesalers in defined territory
- Work closely with 3 large, and as many as 8 smaller wholesale partners across 20+ warehouses, on volume goals as set forth by ABP and execute plan to achieve POD goals, brewery initiatives, & assists with Distributor monthly business objectives (MBO’s)
- Assist Regional Manager in managing marketing spends v. budget and conduct monthly Point of Sale (POS) review and orders
- Educates Distributors, retailers, and consumers within defined territory
- Develops recaps to be conducted with Distributors monthly* (*or as determined by Regional Manager)
- Forecasts seasonal brand execution and results tracking. Reviews inventory and assists w/orders & Distributor inventory
- Implement sales & marketing programs with wholesalers & retailers in defined territory
- Negotiate sponsorships and coordinate festivals affiliated with Odell
- Comply with all Odell co. policies & procedures ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conducts weekly market recaps to Distributor. Executes commitment follow up & maintains account relationships
- Creates and cultivates an inclusive environment for customers, co-workers, and the community
Sales and Distribution
- Partners with Regional Manager to oversee all sales efforts in the assigned territory, including, but not limited to: annual planning, forecasting, promotional calendars, and distributor spending
- Develops, manages, and maintains distributor partner relationships within assigned territory
- Executes programs throughout all premise channels
- Analyzes and develops sales opportunities and game plans utilizing VIP and Armadillo
- Monitors distributors product inventory and POS inventory and orders
- Stays current in each state’s liquor license codes and regulations
- Avoids unethical sales tactics, including, but not limited to: free goods and cash for distribution
Travel Frequency: 50% Travel
Customer Service/Communications Standards
- Respectfully responds to voicemails, emails, and customer concerns in a timely manner (within 24 hours), both internally and externally
- Maintains effective communication with Regional Manager, Director of Sales and all OBC departments
- Actively pursues charitable opportunities that fulfill OBC guideline’s in assigned territory and executes awareness through Odell Outreach
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- 3 years sales experience in the beverage industry
- 2 years distributor management experience
- Demonstrated understanding of retailer relationships, 3- tier system, and effective marketing
- Excellent interpersonal & leadership skills including written & verbal presentations
- Demonstrated ability to represent Odell Brewing in a positive manner
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to be self-motivated
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Gmail, KARMA, iDig/VIP
- Must reside in Greater Phoenix area (or be willing to relocate) and have the ability to travel throughout the sales territory; including quarterly to Colorado or as needed. Relocation assistance may be available.
- Ability to work late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed to support sales activities
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing is required
COMPENSATION
Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
Salary Range:
$55,000 - $75,000/yr depending on experience
