JOB TITLE: Franchise Business Consultant REPORTS TO: VicePresident Brand & Franchise Development CLASSIFICATION: Exempt DEPARTMENT:Restaurant Operations LEVEL:Management SUMMARY OF POSITION: TheFranchise Business Consultant will maintain effective working relationships andvisitation schedule with franchisees.This manager is the primary liaison between franchisees and thecorporate support center. Understand all facets of the business in order toidentify opportunities of improvement for growth. Identify and share with other franchisees thesuccesses and problem-solving techniques the Operations Department and/or otherfranchisees have developed.

Ensure thefranchisees are in compliance with their franchise agreement and the StandardOperating Procedures Manual. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a clear understanding of thecurrent Franchise Agreements. Remain updated and ensure currentknowledge of the SOP Manual.

Maintain a complete understanding ofall operational procedures and standards. Assist franchisees with the creationof an operations budget (training franchisees how to make projections in salesand expenses). Monitor Operations Scorecardperformance.

Prepare and present quarterly P&Lreviews for your respective area. Conduct bi-monthly franchise groupcalls. Conduct quarterly franchise groupmeetings.

Conduct quarterly business reviewswith multi-unit franchisees at minimum. Participate in monthly operations teammeetings. Ensure all necessary Farmburgerologymodules are completed as needed.

Validate that potential managers areprepared for certification. Ensure that all active managers havegone through the certification process and have passed the final exam. Deliver and distribute information tofranchisees and collect Farmer Boys restaurant data.

Inform superiors, peers, andsubordinates of all changes, opportunities, and other relevant informationregarding the operation of each franchise unit. Communicate sales promotions and bestpractices to the Franchise community. Maintain proper and completeFranchisee files with all necessary documentation.

Have a positive working relationshipall franchisees, their managers and employees, FB partners and vendors. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be detail oriented anddisciplined to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Must be disciplined and focused in thepursuit of excellence.

Must understand and achieve companyvision, mission, and goals. Must have effective people skills:diplomatic, relationship-oriented, effective communicator, including listeningskills, accepting coaching and feedback, etc. Must be able to work as a team memberand be an effective leader.

Ability to work independently, makedecisions and provide information in a timely manner. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: This an operations department job, primarilyoffice and franchisee and/or restaurant manager contact Understand and achieve company vision, mission,and goals Detail-oriented and disciplined to completeassigned tasks Focused on continuous improvement and thepursuit of excellence Excellent written, verbal and grouppresentation and communication skills Effective listener, persuasive, diplomatic, andself-motivated Must be able to effectively work with everylevel of the restaurant team Ability to work independently, make sounddecisions, and meet structed timeless Physicalrequirements include standing, sitting, and walking (up to 8 hours at a time);bending, and stooping Physicalrequirements include lifting (up to 15 pounds) while lifting or moving fileboxes Mustbe able to withstand intermittent kitchen heat and/or cold while testing foodtemperatures. Approximately 50% of the time is spent in a standing or walkingmode, and approximately 50% is spent in a sitting mode.

Abilityto periodically climb a ladder and verify completion of maintenance on the roof This is an operationsdepartment job, primarily office and franchisee and/or restaurant managercontact. Physical requirementsinclude standing, sitting and walking (up to 8 hours at time); bending andstooping. Physical requirementsinclude lifting (up to 20 pounds) while lifting or moving file boxes.

Must be able to withstandintermittent kitchen heat and/or cold while testing food temperatures. Approximately 60% of time is spent in astanding or walking mode, approximate 40% is spent in a sitting mode. Ability to periodicallyclimb ladder and verify completion of maintenance on roof.

Ability to travel up to15-20% outside of LA/OC/Riverside area. WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: High School Graduate, 2-year and/or 4-year college degreepreferred. 3-5 years as a company and/or Franchise Manager in food or retail,preferably in restaurant, or a combination thereof.
