Responsibilities:What you'll be challenged to do:
TranSystems has an immediate opening for an Architectural Designer based out of our Ebensburg, PA office. In this role, you will support project teams by performing a wide range of architectural tasks from the conceptual phase through construction administration.
General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Participate in all project phases, from conceptual design to construction administration.
- Perform design and technical tasks requiring application of architectural techniques and and knowledge.
- Conduct research and assist in preparation of studies and reports.
- Prepare graphic presentations.
- Prepare high quality construction documents, including drawings and technical specifications.
- Coordinate drawings and correspondence among consultants, contractors, and vendors for multiple projects.
- Ensures the project meets quality standards and guidelines.
- Review and approve shop drawings and other contractor submittals during construction.
- Attend on-site visits, field reviews and construction progress meetings as appropriate.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss design and technical issues and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Develop understanding of basic accounting principles, project budget management.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Qualifications:
What you bring to our firm:
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture or related from an ABET accredited school.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD/Revit.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards of design.
- Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design strategies.
- Self-motivating and able to function independently.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Able and willing to travel within the continental United States.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

- On the path to state architectural registration.
- Proficient with SketchUp/Enscape rendering software.
- LEED Accredited Professional.
