Work Schedule:May – September (Labor Day Weekend) (Up to 40 hours per week during season)

The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department is a dynamic team transforming the way needs are met and services are provided to our residents. We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Cashier / Facility Attendant at the City Pools.
The cashier position is primarily responsible for the following:
- Exemplifies the City of Greensboro's Core Values (Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Stewardship)
- Calculates admission fees, receives monies from patrons and provides change
- Issues receipts and user group reports when asked or required
- Maintains constant connection with digital schedule and management software
- Maintains information necessary for accurate reporting such as fees collected, deposits, attendance and registrations
- Submits reports and files documents appropriately
- Fields and responds to inquiries for hours, fees, lessons, activities, etc. with appropriate and accurate information
- Assists in routine upkeep and cleaning of facilities
- Provides exceptional customer service
- Be enthusiastic and make the pool a safe and fun place for the community
- Other duties as assigned
The selected applicant must possess great communication skills to ensure the highest level of customer service, have knowledge of safe work practices, and the ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions. Applicant must have reliable transportation and the ability to work as scheduled from mid-May through mid-September.
This job is Non-Exempt under FLSA.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License “OR” Reliable means of transportation
- Knowledge of safety procedures, rules, and regulations for swimming pool facilities
- Ability to work as scheduled from mid-May through Labor Day as scheduled
- Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience working with the public
- Prior experience handling money
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification “OR”ability to obtain within 1 month of hire
