Starting Pay Rate of $30.73/ per hour PLUS
· Additional $5.50 per hour for ASE Master certification
· Shift Differential Pay Available
· $1,000 Annual Tool Reimbursement Allowance

As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician with FedEx Freight, you will use your heavy equipment experience and/or diesel mechanic education to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors. Diesel Mechanics are also responsible for trailers, forklifts, and other equipment that requires preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, and repairs.
Requirements:
· 1 year of experience performing vehicle maintenance or either possess (or be within 60 days of obtaining) a vehicle maintenance certificate from an accredited vocational/trade school OR completion of the FedEx Freight, Inc. Apprentice Program with satisfactory performance
· Ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with manual and automatic transmission
· In-depth knowledge of gas and diesel engines and on-board computers
· Expertise in the use and operation of testing equipment, gauges and tools associated with vehicle troubleshooting and repairs
· Proficient computer skills including maintenance programs and diagnostic systems
· One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class-A CDL preferred
· High school diploma or GED preferred
