Join our Older Adults and Protective Services Team!

Our Older Adults and Protective Services Team is dedicated to supporting the safety and well-being of adults in our communities. As first responders and investigators, our team assesses the safety of adults in need. Our team collaborates with community partners when needed, develops appropriate plans to best support the individual, and links the individual to available resources and supports in the community to promote their ongoing safety in the community.

Essential Functions:


  • Initiation and completion of first responder on-site assessment and evaluation triggered by a Report of Need (RON)
  • Initiation and completion of an investigation presented in the RONS report
  • Communicate with PCA
  • Assesses needs and develops appropriate plans to ensure the health and safety of individuals including collaborating with community partners as needed.
  • Accurate and timely completion of all documentation within SAMs systems of investigative activities.
  • Determines response following investigation and decides if 302, medical care, etc. is appropriate
  • Complete and maintain investigator certificate

Education and Experience:

Prefer one year of experience as an Aging Care Manager, and a Bachelor's Degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college-level credit hours in sociology social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other related social sciences; OR three and one-half years of experience as an Aging Case Aide and 12 college-level credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other related social sciences; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college-level credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other related social sciences

Employment Requirements:

Automobile and Valid Insurance, Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Check, Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, Social Security Card, Immigration and Naturalization (I-9), Drug Screening Clearance

Working Conditions:

Periods working on a computer in an open office environment, comfortable communicating through virtual technology, travel (day) within the community served. Some travel may be in adverse weather. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
