Domestic pump & water system trainees are responsible for assisting with the installation, repair and trouble shooting of well water system components, including submersible, turbine, and centrifugal pumps, pressure tanks, holding tanks, variable speed drives, and water treatment equipment. Trainees also perform equipment maintenance functions on trucks and equipment, stock shelves, and perform shop/warehouse daily functions (stocking, cleaning, etc.)
Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, most crews work 40-50 hours per week. We work year round in inclement weather conditions. Some days we work past 4 without notice and some weekends.
Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs and ladders, reach, twist, sit, walk and/or run.
Mechanics/electricians/plumbers are strongly encouraged to apply. Individuals with licensing (including CDL's) will be offered higher compensation. Trainees will learn various plumbing systems, electrical systems. pump installation methods & techniques, hoist & machine operation techniques, welding and water filtration & treatment systems.
Trainees must be able to drive large pickup trucks, vans, and other NON-CDL vehicles, must have a clean driving record, and be ale to acquire a Federal DOT medical card. In order to work in Washington, trainees will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining the Washington licensing required.
