Apprentice Technician - Gpr - Utility Mark Out - Concrete Scanning

Concrete Scanning and Imaging, Inc. is looking for motivated, self-starters with a willingness to learn and manage projects. This is a great opportunity for individuals with electrical and/or plumbing experience looking to switch trades. Will provide all training necessary for the right individual.

• Assist and operate technically advanced ground penetrating radar (GPR) equipment and other sensors on job sites.
• Coordinate and perform scans of concrete slabs, asphalt roads, site work, and decks using GPR equipment to locate buried structures: rebar, post-tension cables, conduit, electrical wires and pipes, utility locating, bridge inspection, etc.
• Work with Superintendents on job sites and communicate results.
• walk on concrete and/or walk for long periods of time
• Physically capable of carrying up to 60 pounds
• Interpret scan results and convey concrete obstructions to customers
• Operates and maintains vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Travels to project sites (local and regional)
• Comfortable on small and large construction sites

Required Skills

• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• Good organization skills and an aptitude for project management
• Ability to work independently on job site
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Required Experience

• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving history
• 30 Hour OSHA Card/Cert preferred, but not required
• The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.

Background check required. Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screening & physical.

Hourly rate plus bonuses and benefits. This position requires a highly motivated self starter. Your income is determined by your ability to sell yourself, your high level of GPR knowledge/skills, and your high level of customer service. By increasing customer base - income also increases.
