Your New Role

As an Apprentice Service Technician at Survitec, you will play a crucial role in supporting qualified technicians to install, maintain, or repair Survitec products across various product categories. This apprenticeship is focused on delivering Survitec standard work, maintaining operational efficiency, and striving for right-first-time service. Successful completion of technical product training and competence assessments will lead to progression as a Service Technician. Join Survitec and embark on a journey to become a fully competent Service Technician, contributing to the safety and satisfaction of our customers. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining safety standards and continuous improvement in our safety solutions.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Support qualified Service Technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of Survitec safety equipment.
• Learn to execute discrete steps within the core servicing process under supervision and practice more complex steps under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Collaborate with the Service Operations team to implement controlled process changes aimed at achieving continuous improvement.
• Assist in setting up and testing new products or processes, including the installation of complex systems according to your training and competence level.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections under supervision, developing skills to identify and diagnose equipment and systems that require emergency repairs.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Survitec policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory codes to ensure work adherence to these standards.
• Adhere to Survitec Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions, and identify and report risks to ensure the safety of oneself and others.
• Participate in assessment and development planning activities, formal and informal training, and coaching to become competent in core Survitec product categories.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant technology, external regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing personal development.
• Follow stores requisition processes to maintain accurate stock levels and records.
• Contribute to fostering an environment where everyone in the team can embody the Survitec Values.
• Promote a workplace where individuals feel valued, appreciated, and free to express themselves.
• Contribute to the creation of a safety-first culture within Survitec to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria:

• Educated to High School level
• No prior experience is required for this role, although experience in a related industry could enable faster learning.
