SalaryNobles Cooperative Electric (NCE), a rural electric cooperative in Worthington, MN, is currently accepting applications for a Member Services Representative. NCE serves over 6,800 members in Murray and Nobles counties. NCE employs 25 employees and is proud of its teamwork environment.
To direct and be responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of the Cooperative's distribution system; to provide coordination of good engineering practices and economical procedures of the system. To promote and assure adherence to all established safety rules and practices. To keep Line Superintendent and Line Foremen adequately informed relative to construction programs, operation and maintenance, and problems so that proper decisions can be made.
Applicants must have successfully completed a power lineworker program.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains morale and team spirit with personnel working around him by accepting coaching and performing his work to the best of his ability.
- Is familiar with all RUS specifications for construction and shows quality workmanship.
- Daily does the job of construction that is assigned to him, doing the work and using equipment in an orderly, safe and efficient manner.
- Reports adequately on all work done so the records may be kept accurately regarding time, material and accomplishments.
- Is responsible for keeping the lines and line equipment in serviceable condition to reduce outages and improve quality of electric service.
- Inspects and reports on condition of distribution lines, including substations, poles and wires, transformers, OCRs and other related equipment.
- In situation of power outages works with men and equipment for prompt and speedy restoration of service.
- Uses all safe working practices and properly uses tools and equipment as per the Cooperative’s policy and good judgment.
- Journey Lineworker shall be certified by Minnesota Association of Electric Cooperatives and shall be capable of performing all duties of a qualified Journey Lineworker in a safe manner.
- Journey and Apprentice Lineworker are required to be a properly qualified commercial driver with a valid driver's license (CDL).
- Accepts and carries out other duties as assigned by the Line Superintendent and Line Foremen.
