Duties:
- Assist journeyman/journeywoman electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit to specified lengths
- Install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers
- Test electrical systems using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on electrical systems
Experience:
- Previous experience or education in electrical work is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is a plus
- Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations related to electrical work is beneficial
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Note: This position is an apprenticeship role, which means you will be learning on the job under the guidance of experienced electricians. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field while working towards becoming a licensed electrician.
