Job Description
- Learning to diagnose, adjust, repair, and troubleshoot malfunctions using diagnostic tools & gauges on various types of truck equipment while using critical thinking/problem solving.
- Learning to deliver productive results and demonstrate accountability while working with a high degree of independence.
- Learning to utilize computer and other devices to write an itemized summary of each repair performed and parts used.
- Learning to accurately complete DOT and other forms in a timely fashion.
- Learning how to properly clock on and off applicable repair orders and repair segments.
- Learning to maintain neat and orderly work area and properly handle company tools.
- Learning to notify the Service Advisor if additional repair work is necessary.
- Learn to be customer focused while actively listening to customer concerns and providing solutions.
- Learn to build trust, collaborate, and maintain cooperative relationships.
- Learn to participate in training to stay relevant with new technology.
- Learn to adhere to and promote company safety policy.
- Learn to perform other duties assigned by a manager/supervisor; always being adaptable.
- Understanding this is a paid apprentice technician position, working part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer (flexible, location based).
- Agreeing to (at least) 2 years, full-time employment with our company after graduating from an approved diesel technical school.
- Understanding tuition reimbursement of $2,000 paid upon completion of each semester with a 4.0 GPA, $1,500 for a 3.5 GPA, or $1,250 for a 3.0 GPA; max of two semesters, paid annually.
- Receiving on-the-job training from certified technicians or instructors.
- Using company-provided apprentice toolbox until own tools are purchased.
Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $16+ per hour, depending on experience/ability
- Paid by-weekly

Work Schedule
- 2nd Shift, to accommodate tech school schedule
- CDL-A/CDL-Class 1 (after graduating from diesel tech program).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to submit to and pass background check and drug screening test.
- Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities (upon diesel tech school graduation).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent customer service, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- A positive team attitude is a must!
