The Center for Family Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Jackson, Michigan. We are a multi-specialty clinic with practitioners specializing in the areas of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and

Position Summary:
Responsible for providing excellent customer service, answering phone calls and scheduling appointments for patients, and ensuring completion of registration information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understands scheduling procedures for all medical providers.
- Schedules appointments for patients over telephone.
- Verifies all demographic information in practice management system.
- Answers all patient questions regarding our services and connects patients with appropriate personnel.
- Checks InBasket daily and completes pending tasks.
- Assess needs for transportation and translation assistance and schedule as needed.
- Check the call-in lines.
- Follow-up with patients for missed appointments to identify barriers.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work practices and instructions.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Previous medical office experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical insurance rules preferred.
