Job Title: Behavior Technician
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure effective treatment delivery
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding progress and goals
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans accurately
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with ASD
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field
- Experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
