We are looking for an experienced Research Scientist to join our Core-AI computer vision team in Reality Labs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the field of 3D content generation such as objects, scenes, texture and material for VR/MR and Metaverse. You will also work on fundamental research and be able to publish high quality papers in top-tier computer vision conferences. - Research and develop novel computer vision models in Generative AI, with a focus on 3D objects, textures and video synthesis.
- Contribute to and apply research that advances Meta products
- Conduct and collaborate on research projects within a globally-based team
- Key contributor to papers / projects that hold a position towards remarkable contribution to both the field & company
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- PhD in computer vision and/or machine learning or related areas
- Understanding of modern computer vision concepts like Diffusion models, GANs, and LLMs
- Publications in top-tier computer vision venues (CVPR, NeurIPS, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, ICML...)
- Fluency in Python and PyTorch
- 4+ years of post graduation industry, academic, or government lab experience in computer vision and/or machine learning
- Experience writing software and executing complex experiments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience delivering state-of-the-art research in the CVML space into user experiences
- Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment
- First author in top-tier publications in Generative AI topics (diffusion models, LLMs)
- Industry experience deploying computer vision models to production
- Experience with optimizing model architectures and algorithms for CPU/GPU, mobile, and other types of specialized hardware
