Job Responsibilities
The ITS department is seeking a dynamic team player who is capable of writing, testing, and documenting moderately complex to complex computer programs. Provide technical advice and assistance in matters related to programming activities. Troubleshoots existing programs or IT systems. Collaborates with team members and stakeholders on securely and efficiently developing new code/data/reports or reuse/enhancement of existing code. Ensures rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of customer support services.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
High school diploma and work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, the design, development, testing, and debugging of system may be substituted for associate/bachelor's degree. Programming experience in database development (Oracle, SQL Server, etc....), Banner experience, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, PERL, XML, Java, Python, CSS, JavaScript are preferred. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. Valid driver's license and safe driving history required.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field.
Additional Comments
Must have knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging, and maintenance techniques. Knowledge of computer programming languages. Ability to write and revise computer programs; work and communicate effectively with users, vendors, faculty, and staff members. Ability to assist with planning, directing, instructing, and reviewing the work of technical personnel.
